It was a lovely stay and we found the place and your hospitality brilliant. Plenty of parking room and places to walk the dog first thing. Your dogs were lovely by the way. Will and have recommended as a good place to stay.

Very nice quiet location (very convenient for the Dales but also for nearby towns including Harrogate and Leeds etc). Cottage and furnishings were high standard - clean, spacious and airy. Owners were friendly and helpful while discreet.

We had a wonderful week at Dove Cottage, which exceeded our expectations. The cottage is beautifully restored and is actually larger than it appears on the photo's. The bed and sofa's were very comfortable so it was a real home from home. There is a lot to see and do in the area and hopefully we shall return , as we have relatives in Harrogate. It Read moreis such a bonus to be able to bring our dogs to enjoy all the walks too, even though we kept the young one on lead because of all the sheep and lambs! Hide

In a quiet set back location but not far from Harrogate and Otley for shops. Good access to some lovely walks. Friendly hosts who are on hand if needed but also left alone to enjoy the peace and quiet. Very plush and cosy. Dog friendly. Really enjoyed it.

The cottage was in a very quiet rural location! However, there was a lovely village pib a couple of miles away, and Harrogate and Knaresborough were only a 15 minute drive away. The cottage was comfortable and well presented. Would recommend without reservation.

Cottage was very comfortable with all appliances . There is a large field to take dogs for a stretch last thing and first thing even though there is no private garden . The walk to pub was quite a way. But pub was very nice and we are there too as it was dog friendly.

Harrogate is a thriving, historic town at the heart of North Yorkshire and at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This fantastic town is a hit with culturists, historians and holidaymakers alike. Dubbed ‘The English Spa’ in 1596, the town boasts spa water high in iron, sulphur and salt. The Royal Pump Room is still open today as a museum, showcasing the original equipment that was used in its heyday. Two other major draws to the town are the Harrogate Convention Centre and the Great Yorkshire Showground. The former is a multi-purpose venue large enough to house huge conventions and business conferences. Many of the events are fan-based like the Lego-themed attractions and comic-cons. The latter is an outdoor venue that hosts even large events and shows, namely the agricultural Great Yorkshire Show.

Fancy a day of walking? Head to the Valley Gardens, home to a multitude of landscaped gardens that embrace different styles and influence. For further horticultural foray, head to the RHS Garden, Harlow Carr. The stunning gardens provide a leafy retreat where you can wander through woodland and alongside waterways.

The town centre is home to an array of boutique fashion shops, as well as high street favourites in and around the Victoria Shopping Centre. The Montpellier Quarter also offers exclusive shops and a huge range of antique dealers, ideal for hunting out a unique bargain. This fashionable spa town also plays host to many Michelin-starred restaurants too.

There is a host of places to visit and spend time at in and around Harrogate. We have a selection of holiday homes that include chic apartments, elegant townhouses and cosy cottages for romantic stays to inspire your break in Harrogate. Why not visit our collection to find your perfect property?
