Based just on the edge of the town this lovely holiday rental is ideal for somebody wanting the peace and quiet of the country that is also within walking distance of the town centre. The owners and their family are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

I’d forgotten how beautiful Knaresborough is, so it was great to be so close to the centre, yet so quiet. The Stables is compact but very well designed so space is optimised. The hosts were very helpful (especially when we had a dilemma over when to leave, because of the weather) Happy to recommend. P.s. Loved the chocolate cake!

Quiet location in Scriven, in the garden at the rear of the friendly landlord's house, with an easy 20 minute walk to Knaresborough town centre. Clean, comfortable, well equipped accommodation. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed at Spinney Croft for 5 nights and really enjoyed it. The cottage is cosy comfortable and clean. It is very well equipped with everything you could need for a great holiday. Although this cottage is only small it has been very well thought out and works very well. We were left tea, coffee etc, milk and a cake which was a lovely touch. It is within walking distance of Knaresborough and near to many places of interest. We would stay here again if we were visiting this area.

Lovely location, Good quality fittings. Lots of useful extras ,iron, towels ,hair dryer, toiletries etc, more than we had expected. Very peaceful, lots of information about the area bus routes and times. Very clean. Some milk, tea, coffee and cake were there for us on arrival. Take your own pan scrub if you can't live without one but everything is is in the old stable. We had a wonderful stay. Many thanks and credit to the owners.”

Lovely Owners John & Helen. As we disabled John offered so much help. As you opened door all was seeable, one level from end to end. You had a desk so able to work or read. There were books to read & games to play. They could wash & iron for you at reasonable charge. From looking at outside left it was bedroom department coming right to lounge then kitchen & right was bathroom. The kitchen we were amazed seeing cabinets & on opening you would find sink plus drainer rack & cooker. The place is an old stable & still has its stables doors on the outside. Bed so roomy although low for us & maybe other disabled it was so so comfortable. Will certainly visit again. It is on the owners land & their boys could be jumping on their trampoline. They are great kids. Place in easy reach of high street, shops & banks + if you want to eat affordable & good selection its Weatherspoons @ The Crown Inn.
