Duke's Place is a splendid south facing Georgian property with four comfortable cottages attached in a courtyard arrangement.

Duke's Place Farmhouse is the stunning centre piece of this sympathetically developed farm complex. This Georgian farmhouse has spacious living accommodation, a dining room to seat 10 people and is tastefully decorated with antiques, which makes it a super location for gatherings of friends and family.

The house has been recently refurbished to the highest standard but retains much of its period charm. There is a welcoming hall with a large pine bench to take off those muddy boots from exploring the glorious Yorkshire countryside on your doorstep!  Off the hall to the right is a useful cloakroom with WC.

To the left of the spacious hall is a spacious kitchen with a large dining table to seat 10, a range cooker,  authentic butchers block and door to the shared courtyard.

Next door to the kitchen is a baronial themed dining room with a large welcoming fire and additional dining table for 10 guests - just perfect for long sociable evenings with views over the gardens and to the countryside beyond.

A door opens to the garden and a reception room across a small hall is a perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks.

Two further sitting rooms are close to the dining room, the largest of which is perfect for relaxing with comfy sofas, a log burner and TV. The smaller garden room is perfect for curling up with a good book and leads onto a small patio overlooking the extensive gardens.

Up the wide staircase to four double bedrooms and four bathrooms.  The master room (Duke's Palace)  can be described as a suite, entered by a long corridor under the eaves, where a sofa bed is located (can be utilised for a charge of £25) leading to a large bedroom with double four-poster bed, wall mounted Smart TV and en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower, wash basin and toilet. The views from this room overlook the garden and open fields.  This suite would be perfect for a family.

The Garden Room is a bright and light south facing double room with wall mounted TV,  overlooking the garden.  Ensuite shower room with wash basin and toilet.

A further double room (the Blue room) looks to the front of the property enjoying glorious views from a characterful window seat.  Thes room is adjacent to the house bathroom (on two levels) comprising roll top bath, separate shower, wash basin and toilet.

A fourth bedroom (Marmaduke's room) overlooks the courtyard and boasts a double half tester bed (like a 4-poster bed with a small wooden canopy), a wall mounted TV and antiques, including an old jockey's weighing seat!   En-suite shower room, wash basin and toilet.

Duke's Place enjoys a wonderful rural setting at the gateway to Nidderdale and within close driving distance of National Trust Fountain's Abbey, Newby Hall, Ripley Castle, the historic city of Ripon with its cathedral, National Trust Brimham Rocks and Harrogate.

Patio area overlooking the gardens.  Beautiful large garden. Well equipped kitchen with a range cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer.  Oil central heating throughout the property, a log burner and open fires.  SMART TVs in the lounge and all the bedrooms.  Ample parking.  Free WiFi (please be mindful you are in the country and may not be as quick as town).  Double sofa bed available by prior arrangement at a cost of £25.  Families welcome, with a travel cot supplied on request - please bring your own cot linen and highchair.

Please note that this property is unable to accept hen parties. Please note that this property does not take arrivals on Sunday.
