At Harrogate Holidays we respect the privacy of our visitors and this policy aims to set out how your personal information is collected and handled.

We use your personal information to respond to your questions and requests, to send notices and information to you regarding your booking with us. With your consent we may use your personal information from time to time to promote and market Harrogate Holidays offers, products and services. You have the right to amend or remove this data from our system at any time by sending an email to

Who potentially sees your data and why?

Your personal information is passed on to the owner/housekeeper of the property you have booked in order for them to communicate essential information to you about your stay. 

Email addresses are collected if you use the Live Chat facility (currently provided by Pure Chat) to respond to specific questions you have addressed to us.  This personal information is not retained by us after the enquiry has been dealt with by us. Please see Pure Chat privacy policy here.

Outside of our normal working hours we employ the services of a telephone answering service.  Where a caller poses a question, the telephone answering service collects personal information in order that we can respond to the caller’s request.  This personal information is not retained by us unless the enquiry proceeds to a booking.

In order to process your bookings, utilises a bookings system called RMS where booking information and personal information is held in order to process the bookings. Please see their privacy policy here. 

You can email us at to enquire as to what personal information we hold for you and we will respond to this request within 10 working days. You can ask for the data to be deleted once you have completed your stay with us.

Harrogate Holidays also advertises properties on a number of third party travel agent sites or Online Travel Agents (OTAs). When a booking is made on one of these OTA sites, your personal information is collected by the sites and passed to us whereupon it is then used for the purposes of notifying you of all the details regarding your booking and stay. 

To collect reviews for our service and properties we use the independent review site FEEFO in order to elicit feedback on our service and properties so that we can improve your experience with us. Once you have stayed at a property, your name, email and the property in which you stayed is uploaded to FEEFO. An email is sent within 2 months of your stay from FEEFO to invite you to review Harrogate Holidays service.

Where you have booked and stayed with us and we have sought and obtained your consent, your email address may be shared with a third party email platform for the purpose of sending marketing information and offers from time to time. This information will only be used for the purpose of communicating Harrogate Holidays offers and marketing information.  It will not be shared with any organisation for the purposes of marketing products and services. You have the right at any time to unsubscribe from these communications either by emailing us at or clicking on the unsubscribe link in every email.  At present this is provided by Mailchimp. Owner's data is held on the booking system to enable bookings to be processed effectively and make payments. 

We may share information with Government agencies, the police or other companies in the investigation and prevention of fraud.  We may do this where permitted or required by law, where trying to prevent fraud or when investigating when fraud has taken place.
