A great Yorkshire town!

If you enjoy being beside water, scrambling over castle remains and glorious (relatively flat) riverside walks then Knaresborough might just be the perfect holiday location for you. What’s more it’s really friendly and compact what’s more there’s the added bonus of a train which takes you directly to Harrogate in around 10 minutes and York in 35-40 minutes.

Bank Chambers as the name suggest are four stylish properties converted from a historic bank building in the centre of Knaresborough, a short walk from the train station and the river. Take a look here at all the apartments - or use our handy search tool  to see which are available for your dates, using the “Knaresborough” filter. Bank Chambers One sleeps 2 people plus a sofa bed, whilst the other 3 apartments each sleep 4 plus the option of a sofa bed. With short breaks always available a family of four can stay for a 3 night break in August for £396.00 (+ £19.00 booking fee). Take a look at weekend of 17th August for lots of availability (these properties are ideal for two or three families who like to holiday together but enjoy their own space.

Overlooking the river are two fantastic properties – one modern Nidd View  sleeps 6 and has availability from 19th July and historical property called Tenter Turret, which even has a roof terrace to make the most of the views! This property sleeps up to 6 people and is pet friendly. Please note that most of our properties accept short breaks but Tenter Turret is only available for weekly bookings. It’s available in August for £885.00 per week (sleeps 6)

Located close to Knaresborough and the charming village of Ripley, with its’ own Castle (and amazing butchers!) take a look at which was once the village hall it’s in a brilliant location to enjoy Harrogate, Knaresborough and Ripon. Our children particularly enjoy summer holiday trips to Ripley Castle, Fountains Abbey, Newby Hall and Lightwater Valley which are all within easy reach of this Nidd Apartment. (Sleeps 4) There’s lots of availability at he beginning of the summer holidays and it’s available for £635.00 per week.

If you’d like to be in the middle of the countryside (It’s a little way from Knaresborough but definitely worth a mention…)

Finally, we love Nidderdale and if you love the countryside and staying on a working farm would suit your kids then look no further than Barney’s Cottage. It’s near some fantastic cycle routes (cycle hire available) and is within easy reach of The National Trust’s Brimham Rocks and outdoor adventures at How Stean Gorge. Take a look it has availability in August for £635.00 per week (sleeps 4).

Almost all of our properties accept short breaks so if you can only escape for a few days then simply use our availability tool to see what’s available for your dates or let us find the perfect property for you by emailing us  bookings@harrogateholidays.co.uk or call 01423 523333
