The house is in a good location, opposite the boat rental place and just a short walk from the town. Lots of places to walk dogs. It is right near a church though and the bells on Sunday and the following Tuesday were deafening and lasted two hours +. The house is in need of some TLC. We have just returned from a wonderful week in this quirky house. What a beautiful place Knaresborough is and this house is in the perfect position right on the waterside. We were lucky enough to have great weather for our stay and it was a nice stroll along the river or a little uphill stroll into the town, which again was lovely. The house had evRead moreerything that we needed and we had a great stay. Lots of steps if you have mobility issues but otherwise a fantastic house in a great location!! Hide

The location is fabulous and the terraces are a great bonus if the weather is good. However the property is extremely tired in terms of furnishings, carpets and decor etc. Perhaps due to the age of the building it also didnt feel very clean. We were surprised to find check in was at 3pm as other cottages we have stayed at during the pandemic have bRead moreeen 5pm check in due to extra cleaning. The bedding and towels were clean though and the shower surprisingly good. Hide

Fantastic house - 4 bedrooms, garden and roof terrace right on Waterside - excellent holiday atmosphere. It does have lots of steps / stairs though - something to bear in mind.

An absolutely amazing property with lots of character. Ive never stayed in a rental property that has tourists stopping to take pictures of it before! Five stars for the location too. Definitely recommended.

Rarely does the location of a property exceed your expectations. This one did. Beautiful views from the roof terrace. A short walk to the town centre and its shops. An even shorter walk to the railway station. Lovely walks along the river. Great place to stay even without a car.

Cottage is in a great location. There are a lot of steep steps up to the front door from the roadside which would difficult for someone who had difficulty walking. Everything we needed was in the cottage and when I contacted the owner about a cot mattress she had one ordered and delivered the next day. Harrogate is a thriving, historic town at the heart of North Yorkshire and at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This fantastic town is a hit with culturists, historians and holidaymakers alike. Dubbed ‘The English Spa’ in 1596, the town boasts spa water high in iron, sulphur and salt. The Royal Pump Room is still open today as a museum, showcasing the original equipment that was used in its heyday. Two other major draws to the town are the Harrogate Convention Centre and the Great Yorkshire Showground. The former is a multi-purpose venue large enough to house huge conventions and business conferences. Many of the events are fan-based like the Lego-themed attractions and comic-cons. The latter is an outdoor venue that hosts even large events and shows, namely the agricultural Great Yorkshire Show.

Fancy a day of walking? Head to the Valley Gardens, home to a multitude of landscaped gardens that embrace different styles and influence. For further horticultural foray, head to the RHS Garden, Harlow Carr. The stunning gardens provide a leafy retreat where you can wander through woodland and alongside waterways.

The town centre is home to an array of boutique fashion shops, as well as high street favourites in and around the Victoria Shopping Centre. The Montpellier Quarter also offers exclusive shops and a huge range of antique dealers, ideal for hunting out a unique bargain. This fashionable spa town also plays host to many Michelin-starred restaurants too.

There is a host of places to visit and spend time at in and around Harrogate. We have a selection of holiday homes that include chic apartments, elegant townhouses and cosy cottages for romantic stays to inspire your break in Harrogate. Why not visit our collection to find your perfect property?
