An absolutely lovely place to stay with a great view of the stray. The flat was warm and had a really nice feel to it. Definitely stay again if we're in Harrogate. It had everything we needed, great place to make a home from home for the week. One thing I would say is that in the hand book it states that you must remove the bedding at the end of thRead moree week if you have used it? I've never been requested to remove bedding before. Made me wonder if it had been cleaned prior to my arrival. Hide

Stray View is well-equipped with everything you need. Only gripes were that the duvet didn't fit the width of the bed properly & the extractor fan in the bathroom is noisy. Other that that we had a relaxing holiday, the area is quiet & ideal for exploring Harrogate & the surrounding area. Such a shame the weather was awful!

Harrogate is a thriving, historic town at the heart of North Yorkshire and at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This fantastic town is a hit with culturists, historians and holidaymakers alike. Dubbed ‘The English Spa’ in 1596, the town boasts spa water high in iron, sulphur and salt. The Royal Pump Room is still open today as a museum, showcasing the original equipment that was used in its heyday. Two other major draws to the town are the Harrogate Convention Centre and the Great Yorkshire Showground. The former is a multi-purpose venue large enough to house huge conventions and business conferences. Many of the events are fan-based like the Lego-themed attractions and comic-cons. The latter is an outdoor venue that hosts even large events and shows, namely the agricultural Great Yorkshire Show.

Fancy a day of walking? Head to the Valley Gardens, home to a multitude of landscaped gardens that embrace different styles and influence. For further horticultural foray, head to the RHS Garden, Harlow Carr. The stunning gardens provide a leafy retreat where you can wander through woodland and alongside waterways.

The town centre is home to an array of boutique fashion shops, as well as high street favourites in and around the Victoria Shopping Centre. The Montpellier Quarter also offers exclusive shops and a huge range of antique dealers, ideal for hunting out a unique bargain. This fashionable spa town also plays host to many Michelin-starred restaurants too.
