Sat within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Saltaire, this welcoming and cheerful cottage is perfect for guests that want to be in the heart of a historic village.

This cosy yet eclectic property is less than 0.1 miles from Salts Mill which houses the David Hockney 1853 Art Gallery, an antiques market, and eateries. Saltaire is a well-preserved industrial Yorkshire village with textile mills, public buildings, and workers' housing, often used as a historic film set for period dramas. The village hosts a music festival every September and is well known for having live music throughout the year. The world-famous Ilkley Moor is 8 miles away by car or hop on the train at the end of the street for a different view of the Yorkshire countryside.

Admire the exceptional decor when entering the cottage and stepping into the living room. After a day of exploring local markets relax on the sofas in front of the Smart TV to enjoy a film or your favourite shows. In the kitchen, the culture continues with beautiful art pieces. The kitchen is fully fitted with everything you would need to prepare a delicious meal, including an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, and under-counter fridge (there is no freezer compartment). Moving upstairs, there is a spacious single bedroom and a double bedroom. Both have original sash windows with beautiful views of the moors, and ample storage and hanging space. The bathroom has a bath and a separate waterfall shower.

To the rear of the cottage is a delightful patio with seating and a table. A perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee or a drink in the evening.  On-street parking is available (subject to availability). Saltaire train station is located just 0.1 miles away.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and cleaned with a patio area sun trap and a bath to indulge in after a long walk. The surrounding area is lovely with the Salt mill, a park, country walks, picnic spots, excellent restaurants and a quality butchers, bakers etc near by. The owners were really helpful with any difficulties we had, going the extrRead morea mile informing us about the local area and messaging occasionally to check that everything was ok. Hide

Harrogate is a thriving, historic town at the heart of North Yorkshire and at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This fantastic town is a hit with culturists, historians and holidaymakers alike. Dubbed ‘The English Spa’ in 1596, the town boasts spa water high in iron, sulphur and salt. The Royal Pump Room is still open today as a museum, showcasing the original equipment that was used in its heyday. Two other major draws to the town are the Harrogate Convention Centre and the Great Yorkshire Showground.
