This property provides a perfect escape for anyone wanting to discover North Yorkshire, set in a quiet area of Knaresborough yet close to superb walks and nearby character towns.

Charming  cottage situated between the Yorkshire towns of Harrogate and Knaresborough. The cottage is a short drive from Ripley Castle with its tea rooms, village shops and lakeside walks. Knaresborough  is only 1.5 miles and has a market day each Wednesday which is popular with locals and visitors alike. Walk along the waterside or take a boat along the River Nidd, alternatively, watch the world go by in one of the cafes along the riverbank. Harrogate with its Convention Centre and Yorkshire Event Centre is just a short drive away. You can even enjoy Bettys tearooms and the many spa town attractions nearby, including Ripon the cathedral city. There are also links to London via York and Leeds from Harrogate and Knaresborough train stations.

From the parking area a walkway takes you to the front door of this pretty cottage and into the hallway. To the right is a double bedroom with views of the front garden and a wallmounted TV. There is also a shower room with wet room style shower complete with WC and non-slip flooring. From the hallway head through to the lounge/kitchen/diner with well-equipped kitchen area with electric oven and hob, compact fridge/freezer, microwave and breakfast bar for that lazy breakfast. Just off the kitchen, down one step is the utility room with washer/dryer. Relax in the cosy lounge with TV/DVD, books and games for making the most of your evenings. There is also a dining table for four where you can enjoy the rear views of the garden.

Venturing outside there is a front garden which is set on one level with garden furniture and to the rear, down five steps from the decked area is a pretty, well stocked garden with access gate  to the Woodland Trust's Nidd Gorge. There is off-road parking available.

This is a great place to stay. Owners are more than helpful. Great location for getting about. Beautiful gardens to front and rear. Lovely quiet place. Everything you need is there in the cottage. We would definitely recommend and would go back ourselves

In ideal spot for touring the area .on bus route, half hour walk to Knaresborough good area for walking. Highly recommended

Such a lovely quiet tranquil location with lovely front and back gardens to enjoy. Owners very obliging and provided extra equipment requested. We have booked to go back!

Very comfortable. Ideally located for visiting York, Harrogate and the Dales. Knaresborough a lovely town with good river walks and The Nidd Gorge just through the garden gate is a delight.

Harrogate is a thriving, historic town at the heart of North Yorkshire and at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This fantastic town is a hit with culturists, historians and holidaymakers alike. Dubbed ‘The English Spa’ in 1596, the town boasts spa water high in iron, sulphur and salt. The Royal Pump Room is still open today as a museum, showcasing the original equipment that was used in its heyday. Two other major draws to the town are the Harrogate Convention Centre and the Great Yorkshire Showground. The former is a multi-purpose venue large enough to house huge conventions and business conferences. Many of the events are fan-based like the Lego-themed attractions and comic-cons. The latter is an outdoor venue that hosts even large events and shows, namely the agricultural Great Yorkshire Show.
