Set on a working farm on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Darley, this tastefully updated barn conversion makes an ideal base for up to three guests looking to enjoy a short break in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are many great walks nearby for guests and their pets to enjoy, with Harrogate, home of the Harrogate Convention Centre, is under 9 miles away. This property can be booked with the adjoining cottage to accommodate up to 10 people.

The spacious and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner features a traditional stone fireplace and an open fire, and is an ideal space to relax in, with TV, DVD, an additional Z bed and a fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs are two cosy bedrooms: a double and a single. There’s also a bathroom with a power shower over the bath. Outside is an extensive lawn garden. Off-road parking is available for three cars, and a BBQ and a cot can be provided on request.

Darley is ideally situated for exploring both Nidderdale and the Yorkshire Dales, with Brimham Rocks just 12 miles away. Both the vibrant spa town of Harrogate and the popular market town of Pateley Bridge (7 miles) can be reached easily by car or bus, with a bus stop just 200 metres from the cottage. Both towns offer a fantastic range of restaurants, pubs, tea rooms, eateries and cafes to suit all tastes, as well as a wealth of visitor attractions including England’s Oldest Sweet Shop in Pateley Bridge and Valley Gardens in Harrogate.

This cottage is in a beautiful location, with easy access to the riverside walks. It is very comfortable inside with a lovely view from the windows over the dale.

The Cottage was great - comfortable beds -- comfy sofa and enjoyed the Hens and the 1/2 dozen eggs we were given.

Harrogate is a thriving, historic town at the heart of North Yorkshire and at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This fantastic town is a hit with culturists, historians and holidaymakers alike. Dubbed ‘The English Spa’ in 1596, the town boasts spa water high in iron, sulphur and salt. The Royal Pump Room is still open today as a museum, showcasing the original equipment that was used in its heyday. Two other major draws to the town are the Harrogate Convention Centre and the Great Yorkshire Showground. The former is a multi-purpose venue large enough to house huge conventions and business conferences. Many of the events are fan-based like the Lego-themed attractions and comic-cons. The latter is an outdoor venue that hosts even large events and shows, namely the agricultural Great Yorkshire Show.

Fancy a day of walking? Head to the Valley Gardens, home to a multitude of landscaped gardens that embrace different styles and influence. For further horticultural foray, head to the RHS Garden, Harlow Carr. The stunning gardens provide a leafy retreat where you can wander through woodland and alongside waterways.
