What a fantastic little gem of a place to stay! The attention to detail in the property was amazing. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise with lots of other little extras! The only downside to the property is it sits very close to a house catering up to 12 people, the first evening we were there the house was occupied and a very loud and noisy Read moreparty was taking place, thank goodness they left the next day! Wed only stay again if we were assured the property next door were to be empty. Hide

Perfect little getaway cottage. Very peaceful setting with a huge garden. The owners were very helpful and the welcome hamper was stocked full of all our favourite things. I would definitely recommend for couples. Lots of good dog walks close by!

A perfect getaway. We stayed over New Year and it was peaceful and cosy. We were able to explore lots in the local area and always looked forward to returning to this lovely place to get the log burner on!

The cottage was spotlessly clean, in a lovely location and well situated for sight seeing and walking. While we were staying it was certainly quiet and private. However, we wouldnt have been quite as happy if the large house next door had been occupied during our stay. Lovely location but with very steep drive and in close proximity to neighbouring cottage. This was empty while we were at Poachers Den but, if occupied, you would feel very overlooked - their barbecue and outside seating is right outside your sitting area and bedroom. Also headroom in bathroom is very restricted.

The cottage was lovely but if the property next door had been let at the same time to a party of 12 people I dont think we would have enjoyed it as much... next door is very close so there is not much privacy , so for that reason only we wouldnt book again.

The cottage is beautifully equipped, everything you could want. Remote though, and very close to a house which could have 12 people staying. The views from the property were excellent.

Harrogate is a thriving, historic town at the heart of North Yorkshire and at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This fantastic town is a hit with culturists, historians and holidaymakers alike. Dubbed ‘The English Spa’ in 1596, the town boasts spa water high in iron, sulphur and salt. The Royal Pump Room is still open today as a museum, showcasing the original equipment that was used in its heyday. Two other major draws to the town are the Harrogate Convention Centre and the Great Yorkshire Showground. The former is a multi-purpose venue large enough to house huge conventions and business conferences. Many of the events are fan-based like the Lego-themed attractions and comic-cons. The latter is an outdoor venue that hosts even large events and shows, namely the agricultural Great Yorkshire Show.

Fancy a day of walking? Head to the Valley Gardens, home to a multitude of landscaped gardens that embrace different styles and influence. For further horticultural foray, head to the RHS Garden, Harlow Carr. The stunning gardens provide a leafy retreat where you can wander through woodland and alongside waterways.

The town centre is home to an array of boutique fashion shops, as well as high street favourites in and around the Victoria Shopping Centre. The Montpellier Quarter also offers exclusive shops and a huge range of antique dealers, ideal for hunting out a unique bargain. This fashionable spa town also plays host to many Michelin-starred restaurants too.

There is a host of places to visit and spend time at in and around Harrogate. We have a selection of holiday homes that include chic apartments, elegant townhouses and cosy cottages for romantic stays to inspire your break in Harrogate. Why not visit our collection to find your perfect property?
