Those who are looking for a more restful way to spend their time may like to pay a visit to the spa town of Harrogate, where they can take to the waters and receive treatments at the stunningly restored Turkish Baths before enjoying afternoon tea at the famous Betty’s Cafe Tearooms. Other attractions in the area include the RHS gardens at Harlow Carr, Ripon Cathedral, and Lightwater Valley Theme Park.
On arrival at this five-star property, guests will find the impressive open-plan kitchen/diner and seating area, which is an impressively spacious room which easily lends itself to spending time together. The space is dominated by the double height ceiling and exposed beams which lend the room a feeling of contemporary grandeur. The dining area with its huge table lies in the centre of the room, with the kitchen area to one side and a relaxing seating area at the other. For those looking for a more intimate retreat, the lounge is a wonderfully relaxing room which offers comfortable seating, a warming wood burner, TV/DVD, a Bluetooth-enabled hi-fi, and a baby grand piano. There are also two bedrooms on the ground floor, the first of which is a king-size room which can be made up as a twin room on request, thanks to the zip-and-link beds. This well-appointed room has its own internet-enabled Smart TV as well as an en-suite shower and WC. The other ground-floor bedroom is a pleasant king-size room which benefits from an en-suite bathroom with shower-over-bath and WC. Upstairs, there are three further bedrooms, all of which have their own Smart TV and en-suite facilities. The first of these rooms has an en-suite bathroom with shower-over-bath and WC, whilst the remaining two rooms have en-suite shower rooms with a shower and WC, and can both be made up as twin rooms on request.
Outside, there is a patio garden to the rear of the property, where guests will find the sumptuous hot tub for which robes are provided, as well as garden furniture and a BBQ. In addition to this, guests are able to follow a walking route around the owner’s farm and it may even be possible to collect fresh eggs from the resident chickens. Off-road parking is provided.
