Cottage was spotless. In a fantastic location within walking distance to town centre and supermarket. Really comfortable. Really nice of owner to leave milk in fridge and a packet of biscuits.

A lovely clean and comfy cottage and very well set out and organised. The owner was very helpful too. Great location for walking into town. Gas fire was much appreciated as we went in the autumn. Lots of lovely hot water too for post walk baths & showers. A nice find.

Great place located near the centre of town, great for a small family, well equipped with everything you need for a short stay, place was spotlessly clean when we arrived, access was great, on street parking was no problem as the parking permit was provided, could park outside the house for the 4 nights we were there.

Harrogate is a thriving, historic town at the heart of North Yorkshire and at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This fantastic town is a hit with culturists, historians and holidaymakers alike. Dubbed ‘The English Spa’ in 1596, the town boasts spa water high in iron, sulphur and salt. The Royal Pump Room is still open today as a museum, showcasing the original equipment that was used in its heyday. Two other major draws to the town are the Harrogate Convention Centre and the Great Yorkshire Showground. The former is a multi-purpose venue large enough to house huge conventions and business conferences. Many of the events are fan-based like the Lego-themed attractions and comic-cons. The latter is an outdoor venue that hosts even large events and shows, namely the agricultural Great Yorkshire Show.

Fancy a day of walking? Head to the Valley Gardens, home to a multitude of landscaped gardens that embrace different styles and influence. For further horticultural foray, head to the RHS Garden, Harlow Carr. The stunning gardens provide a leafy retreat where you can wander through woodland and alongside waterways.

The town centre is home to an array of boutique fashion shops, as well as high street favourites in and around the Victoria Shopping Centre. The Montpellier Quarter also offers exclusive shops and a huge range of antique dealers, ideal for hunting out a unique bargain. This fashionable spa town also plays host to many Michelin-starred restaurants too.
