The house is on the edge of the Thorpe Perrow 300 acre estate – which has a great Arboretum or venture slightly further afield to the popular market towns of Bedale (4 miles), Masham (3 miles) or Leyburn (12 miles). Here you can browse the quaint shops and tearooms or grab a bite to eat in one of the many country pubs and restaurants. Aysgarth Falls (20 miles), Bolton Castle (18 miles) and the Yorkshire Dales National Park are all within each reach and, for family days out, Lightwater Valley Theme Park is only 7 miles away.

Oozing with charm and magnificent features, you are greeted by a flagstone boot room on entering the property, the ideal place to leave coats and muddy boots after a day of exploring. Adjoining is a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. The grand lounge is the perfect space for the whole family to sit down and relax, whilst the open fire creates a warming ambience. Next to the lounge is a snug with a wood burning stove and Smart TV where you can cosy up and watch a movie or catch up on your favourite TV series. Upstairs you will find five beautiful bedrooms, all furnished to the highest standard to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep. The master boasts a super-king-size bed, Smart TV and en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC. There are then two king-size bedrooms, one with a four-poster-bed, and both with en-suite bathrooms with baths, separate showers and WC. The fourth bedroom is a double and next to it is the spacious family bathroom with a bath, separate shower and WC. We had a fabulous break with our friends in this lovely cottage, the log fire was perfect for those chilly autumn nights and the property had everything we needed to enable us to entertain our guests. A bonus that the major supermarkets also deliver here with easy unloading straight into the kitchen. We will be sure to return.

Harrogate is a thriving, historic town at the heart of North Yorkshire and at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This fantastic town is a hit with culturists, historians and holidaymakers alike. Dubbed ‘The English Spa’ in 1596, the town boasts spa water high in iron, sulphur and salt.
