A nice cottage, good location, well equipped, had never used an Aga before, but did not have any problems cooking with it. It also kept the kitchen very warm. Both bedrooms were comfortable one with an en suite and a separate bathroom which was a big bonus. Shops, pubs and restaurants close by so did not have to travel far for anything we wanted. We had a lovely couple of days staying in Gardeners Cottage. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We were a little overwhelmed by the Aga as we'd not cooked on one before. It also made the cottage very warm, which may not be ideal in high summer. Purely my opinion and is not intended as a criticism just an observation.

Gorgeous cottage in a beautiful area. Aga and log burner was great to use and made the whole experience very relaxing. Perfect positioning for great walks and days out. Jayne made our stay by allowing a later check out on New Years Day after seeing the New Year in - and the mince pie biscuits were loved by the boys! Thank you.. Would definitely go Read moreback. Gardener's Cottage is an absolute gem! The house is immaculate and has everything you need for a short or long stay. The house was more than adequate to accommodate 6 adults (2 on a large sofa bed in the lounge room) and bedding and large towels were supplied. The kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, baking dishes as well as plenty of cutlery,Read more crockery etc. The location was lovely as the house is situated on a large property so you are surrounded by trees, paddocks and sheep (you might also see rabbits and hedgehogs too). You can hear the road a little during the day but this wasn't an issue and you can't hear anything at night. It was such a pleasure to walk around the garden and to eat breakfast at the outside table. The house feels secluded but you are still only about a 5 minute drive to Ripon where there is a good sized Sainsbury's, bakeries, coffee shops, pubs etc Hide

Fantastic cottage in an idyllic location with stunning country views from every window. All mod cons in the kitchen, comfortable lounge with good internet and plenty of TV channels available. Super bathrooms and extra comfy beds. An all round wonderful stay.

Was even nicer and more spacious than the pictures suggested. Beautiful location. Only minor drawback was the AGA which is not really suitable for simple holiday meals. But really enjoyed our stay.

Harrogate is a thriving, historic town at the heart of North Yorkshire and at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This fantastic town is a hit with culturists, historians and holidaymakers alike. Dubbed ‘The English Spa’ in 1596, the town boasts spa water high in iron, sulphur and salt. The Royal Pump Room is still open today as a museum, showcasing the original equipment that was used in its heyday. Two other major draws to the town are the Harrogate Convention Centre and the Great Yorkshire Showground. The former is a multi-purpose venue large enough to house huge conventions and business conferences. Many of the events are fan-based like the Lego-themed attractions and comic-cons. The latter is an outdoor venue that hosts even large events and shows, namely the agricultural Great Yorkshire Show.

Fancy a day of walking? Head to the Valley Gardens, home to a multitude of landscaped gardens that embrace different styles and influence. For further horticultural foray, head to the RHS Garden, Harlow Carr. The stunning gardens provide a leafy retreat where you can wander through woodland and alongside waterways.

The town centre is home to an array of boutique fashion shops, as well as high street favourites in and around the Victoria Shopping Centre. The Montpellier Quarter also offers exclusive shops and a huge range of antique dealers, ideal for hunting out a unique bargain. This fashionable spa town also plays host to many Michelin-starred restaurants too.
