The apartment is accessed via a private front door, offering a welcoming haven in which to relax after exploring the town or attending an event. The spacious, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has a beautiful outlook over the small front garden and beyond to the 200-acre Stray. A warm wooden floor creates a homely atmosphere, while stylish accessories add to its charm. The master bedroom is large and restful, with the option of a Z-bed in the dressing room for an extra charge. The second bedroom is equally comfortable and there is a separate bathroom with a shower over the bath. Both bedrooms have super-king zip and link beds which can be made up as two singles on request.

Empress on the Stray is a one-mile walk from the Harrogate Convention Centre and just 1.5 miles from the Great Yorkshire Showground. Perfectly located for evening walks on the Stray after a busy day exploring, it is also close to local attractions including the Royal Pump Room Museum (1.5 miles), Valley Gardens (1 mile) and The Turkish Baths (1.5 miles). Harrogate Train Station is within a 2-mile drive or 1-mile walk, providing easy links to public transport.

We stayed at the Empress on the Stray and wouldn't hesitate to go back in the future. It was tastefully decorated and comfortable with everything you needed for a great holiday.

Loved the tasteful and stylish decor of this apartment with its high ceilings and bright, large lifestyle room, overlooking the famous Stray. Clean and well looked after. Beds were really comfortable. An easy walk across the Stray to the town Centre. Highly recommend this place when in Harrogate for business or pleasure!

Harrogate is a thriving, historic town at the heart of North Yorkshire and at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The Royal Pump Room is still open today as a museum, showcasing the original equipment that was used in its heyday.
