Attractive converted forge offering thoughtfully styled accommodation for four guests, situated alongside three other holiday properties in the Yorkshire countryside, 7 miles north of Harrogate.

An attractively converted Georgian forge, this property has been finished in a sleek, contemporary style and yet still retains much of its period charm with limestone floors and beamed ceilings. Set just 0.5 miles from the eastern edge of the Yorkshire Dales, it is one of two properties clustered around a shared courtyard, which together can accommodate up to 14 guests.

This handsome property is just the place for those who want to have somewhere relaxing to return at the end of a busy day. In the lounge area, guests are able to sit back and unwind in front of the wood burner and the Smart TV, whilst there is plenty of space to take meals either at the dining table or at the breakfast bar. An excellent range of kitchen equipment including an oven, hob, fridge with ice compartment, and a dishwasher, allows guests to enjoy proper homecooked meals in the evenings. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, each with their own Smart TV and en-suite shower rooms, one of which benefits from the addition of a dressing room.

This property is located conveniently close to Harrogate town centre, which is easily accessible and just 6 miles away, and yet enjoys a quiet location in the village of Bishop Thornton on the edge of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This affords guests the opportunity to enjoy some relaxing downtime away from town. If you fancy popping out in the evening, a popular pub can be found within 0.5 miles of the property offering evening meals and a carvery lunch on Sundays.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Lovely cottage finished to a high standard. Location peaceful and views from bedroom across fields. Ideal for exploring the local area. Owners helpful and friendly.

Harrogate is a thriving, historic town at the heart of North Yorkshire and at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This fantastic town is a hit with culturists, historians and holidaymakers alike. Dubbed ‘The English Spa’ in 1596, the town boasts spa water high in iron, sulphur and salt. The Royal Pump Room is still open today as a museum, showcasing the original equipment that was used in its heyday. Two other major draws to the town are the Harrogate Convention Centre and the Great Yorkshire Showground. The former is a multi-purpose venue large enough to house huge conventions and business conferences. Many of the events are fan-based like the Lego-themed attractions and comic-cons. The latter is an outdoor venue that hosts even large events and shows, namely the agricultural Great Yorkshire Show.

Fancy a day of walking? Head to the Valley Gardens, home to a multitude of landscaped gardens that embrace different styles and influence. For further horticultural foray, head to the RHS Garden, Harlow Carr. The stunning gardens provide a leafy retreat where you can wander through woodland and alongside waterways.

The town centre is home to an array of boutique fashion shops, as well as high street favourites in and around the Victoria Shopping Centre. The Montpellier Quarter also offers exclusive shops and a huge range of antique dealers, ideal for hunting out a unique bargain.
