Pretty Yorkshire stone cottage perfectly situated to explore both Harrogate, York and the surrounding Yorkshire Dales. Ideal for couples and families who are looking for a special stay.

Located in a leafy Harrogate suburb, this welcoming two-bedroom cottage sleeps up to four guests. Its close proximity to the town's Convention Centre and the Yorkshire Events Centre, make this the perfect choice for couples or visitors who are on business. With Leeds Road shopping and local pubs and shops, all a short walk away, this property has everything you need on the doorstep. It also welcomes two dogs, meaning nobody needs to be left at home.

This pretty stone cottage is delightfully decorated throughout, to create a feeling of warmth and homeliness. The open-plan kitchen/diner is both light and airy, with all the appliances you'll need to rustle up a tasty snack. Guests can enjoy a meal seated at the dining table, before retiring to the lounge to settle down and watch a film, while the wood burner warms the room on chillier evenings. Upstairs you'll find two bright bedrooms, a double with a walk-in wardrobe area, and a twin which overlooks the rear garden. The family bathroom is also on this level, with a traditional roll-top bath for a long, relaxing soak to relieve aching muscles. French doors lead outside into a charming rear garden with a lawn and patio area, while there is also a further garden to the front of the property.

If food is your thing then you're in for a treat here with a plethora of eateries to be found. Head to Cold Bath Road, described as the ‘Notting Hill' of Harrogate, where you'll be spoilt for choice with restaurants. You will also find some super independent shops to explore, as well as the Valley Gardens, Turkish Baths and the Royal Pump Room Museum. For a little tranquillity, the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is 6 miles away.

The grand Victorian spa town of Harrogate less than 2 miles from your door and is regularly listed as the best place to live in the UK, making it the perfect place to spend time throughout your holiday. The truly gorgeous Yorkshire town combines traditional elegance with contemporary style effortlessly and the Duchy suburb is well known as being one of the most desirable postcodes in town.

Best known for its antiques and fine art, Harrogate has antique dealers and galleries around every corner, particularly around the Montpellier Quarter, so creative guests will love wandering around seeking out treasures. If buying old paintings and furniture isn't your bag, there are a host of other reasons to part with your cash in Harrogate. High fashion outlets nestle alongside lavish interior boutiques, punctuated with enough fine restaurants and cafes to keep you fuelled for weeks.

A visit to Betty's Tearooms is a must and if you have time, we highly recommend a session at the famous Turkish Baths. Rejuvenate spirit and soul after a day on the town. If you're travelling with children, Harrogate is famous for its outdoor spaces with lots of parkland and greenery everywhere. The RHS Gardens at Harlow Carr (2 miles from home) are also a fantastic option for families.

This bolthole is very close to the Yorkshire Dales (8.5 miles from the outskirts) and 32 miles from the North Yorkshire Moors so makes the perfect base from which to explore the glorious Yorkshire landscape and its many stunning natural sights. We highly recommend a day trip to gorgeous Ilkley (17 miles) combined with a visit to Bolton Abbey, 21.5 miles away. York is within easy reach (22.5 miles) and a day trip to this beautiful medieval city is well worth it.

This is a lovely cottage. It has enclosed gardens, so is perfect if you have a dog. It is comfy, spacious and well equipped with a fabulously huge kitchen. You can walk into Harrogate in 30 mins.

We had a lovely stay at Calcote Cottage. A peaceful location with a Marks and Spencers food store round the corner. A great base for exploring Yorkshire villages. A short walk to Harrogate. The cottage was a real home from home we would love to return

Beautiful cottage. So well equipped with everything little detail thought of. Lovely welcome pack (including treats for the dog!) logs for the wood burner; charcoal for the barbecue and even a food mixer and recipe books! Great location in a quiet cul de sac but walkable distance to Harrogate centre. Local food shops including M&S nearby. Very cleaRead moren and well presented. Wouldnt hesitate to book again. Hide

We stayed for the week of the UCI World Road Race Championships in Harrogate. Perfect cottage a twenty minute walk from the town centre, breakfast at Weetons Food Hall lunch at Baltzersens loads to things do and visit, we had a most perfect week.

Harrogate is a thriving, historic town at the heart of North Yorkshire and at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This fantastic town is a hit with culturists, historians and holidaymakers alike. Dubbed ‘The English Spa’ in 1596, the town boasts spa water high in iron, sulphur and salt. The Royal Pump Room is still open today as a museum, showcasing the original equipment that was used in its heyday. Two other major draws to the town are the Harrogate Convention Centre and the Great Yorkshire Showground. The former is a multi-purpose venue large enough to house huge conventions and business conferences. Many of the events are fan-based like the Lego-themed attractions and comic-cons. The latter is an outdoor venue that hosts even large events and shows, namely the agricultural Great Yorkshire Show.

Fancy a day of walking? Head to the Valley Gardens, home to a multitude of landscaped gardens that embrace different styles and influence. For further horticultural foray, head to the RHS Garden, Harlow Carr. The stunning gardens provide a leafy retreat where you can wander through woodland and alongside waterways.

The town centre is home to an array of boutique fashion shops, as well as high street favourites in and around the Victoria Shopping Centre. The Montpellier Quarter also offers exclusive shops and a huge range of antique dealers, ideal for hunting out a unique bargain. This fashionable spa town also plays host to many Michelin-starred restaurants too.
