Pretty stone cottage offering comfortable accommodation for seven guests, enjoying a quiet rural location in the North Yorkshire village of Bewerley in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

A tranquil retreat located in a picturesque part of North Yorkshire, Buchanty House is a charming three-bedroom property sleeping up to seven guests. Enjoy outdoor pursuits in the fresh air and open spaces of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which can be accessed directly from the front door of this stone mews house located in the pretty village of Bewerley.

On the ground floor the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner has a cosy and homely feel to it, whilst there is a second dining area outside on the patio, where the table seats eight guests. In the evenings relax in front of the open fire in the spacious lounge before retiring to one of the three bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom has a double bed and en-suite shower, whilst there is also a twin room and a triple room which is laid out with a single bed and a set of bunk beds. The attractive bathroom, also on the first floor, has a bath with hand-held shower. Roadside parking can be found throughout the village.

Perfect for those who love the outdoors, the village of Bewerley is situated less than half-a-mile from the attractive market town of Pateley Bridge. Stroll to town and enjoy the shops, including the world’s oldest sweet shop, or later pop into one of the pubs or restaurants to enjoy a relaxing meal. Harrogate, meanwhile, is situated 15 miles south-west of the property and is a popular place with day-trippers as well those visiting the Convention Centre.

The cottage is in the village of Bewerley (silent r), so if you ask for directions people might not understand you ;) It is a really nice place, very close to Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks. We spent a great weekend there and it was perfectly fine.

You couldnt ask for a better location, lovely spacious house in a beautiful village. Theres no amenities but Pateley Bridge is only a short walk with shops restaurants and pubs.

On arrival we found the cottage to be clean with everything we needed for our holiday and more. The cottage was spacious with plenty of clean towels and bed linen. As there was 7 in our party with a range of ages we felt the accommodation provided for all the needs of our group. Harrogate is a thriving, historic town at the heart of North Yorkshire and at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This fantastic town is a hit with culturists, historians and holidaymakers alike. Dubbed ‘The English Spa’ in 1596, the town boasts spa water high in iron, sulphur and salt. The Royal Pump Room is still open today as a museum, showcasing the original equipment that was used in its heyday.
