Outdoors and nature enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice with both Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks within easy reach, and each boasting some great hiking terrain and stunning flora and fauna. Alternatively, those who enjoy beaches and watersports will only be a short drive from the beautifully rugged North Devon coast, famed for its sand and surf and both Meldon Reservoir and Roadford Lake, offering fishing and walks. There are also numerous traditional market towns and villages to explore in the area such as Hatherleigh and Great Torrington. Other attractions and places of interest nearby include RHS Rosemoor, Dartington Crystal and Tapeley Park.

As you walk through the stable doors into this secluded lodge you enter a spacious bright and airy open plan modern kitchen, lounge, dining room with beautiful beams on display.  There is a wood burner perfect for cosying up in front of the TV and relaxing. The double bedroom has been decorated in light colours and gorgeous linens and the bathroom enjoys a modern walk in shower.

Outside there is an enclosed decked balcony with seating and beautiful countryside views. The hot tub is the perfect romantic indulgence for your stay or why not relax in the hammock on a summers day.

Hazel and Stephen were great hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Very well equipped lodge, was spotless could not fault. The hot tub was brilliant. Ive already recommended to a work colleague. Our dogs were well catered for with a secure garden. Couldnt wish for a nicer place for a holiday, loved every moment. Thank you both.

We were made to feel welcome right from the start of our stay. Hazel and Stephen are fantastic hosts and we didn't want to leave. Nothing was too much trouble and Hazel was very helpful with Question we had. Any problems we had were sorted straight away. We did inform holiday cottages that this was our Honeymoon but this wasn't relayed to Hazel butRead more she soon appeared with a bottle of chilled Prosecco for us to celebrate it. What an amazing property. Greeted by the owner Hazel who had baked us some fresh bread and supplied a very welcoming cream tea together with treats for our dogs. Every detail had been thought of, even a smart TV with access to all the usual apps. The owners were very welcoming and went a big step further by baking fresh bread and providing a welcome basket. What a lovely touch!! The cottage was beautifully decorated, superbly equipped and lots of personal touches. We were greeted with homemade bread and a welcome basket which was such a lovely touch. I would 100% recommended Becks Meadow Lodge. Not only is Hazel an incredible host, the cottage is absolutely lovely. I had recently had a family bereavement, and Hazel was so accommodating, allowing me to amend the day and time I arrived to attend the funeral. The central Devon/Cornwall location is idyllic, just out of the way but close enough to civilisation to get out and see the sites. We just had a short break away here and loved every minute! An amazing quiet location with local pub a 10 minute walk away. The lodge itself with so cute and had everything we could need. Hot tube and garden area was the highlight for us! Would definitely come back.

Absolutely delightful lodge, great hosts who pretty much leave you in peace to enjoy your break. Good check in and really good to see the level of cleanliness (my wife's biggest concern) was outstanding. Central location makes it easy to get around the county and even down to Eden Project, rounded of with a dip in the hot tub.

We were really impressed with the cleanliness of the property on our arrival, and the steps that had been taken by the owners to ensure as far as possible our safety in respect of Covid 19. Owners were lovely and did everything they could to ensure we had everything we needed.

We enjoyed a very relaxing and enjoyable break at the lodge. Although the lodge is small it is really well designed and offers everything needed for a comfortable break. The hot tub and private garden space are amazing and really added to our enjoyment. The location is perfect to visit all parts of Devon and North Cornwall.

Harrogate is a thriving, historic town at the heart of North Yorkshire and at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This fantastic town is a hit with culturists, historians and holidaymakers alike. Dubbed ‘The English Spa’ in 1596, the town boasts spa water high in iron, sulphur and salt. The Royal Pump Room is still open today as a museum, showcasing the original equipment that was used in its heyday.
