This detached former stables is situated in the grounds of Spinney Croft in the picturesque village of Old Scriven. The village is mentioned in the Doomsday book and has a long history associated with the linen industry. The Slingsby family seat was in Old Scriven and the estate included Spinney Croft and The Stables until the 1960's when it moved to private hands. At various times, the house has been a sign makers shop, a sweet shop and the local maternity ward!

This studio/cottage is all on one level, and occupies a beautiful setting within Spinney Croft and is situated close to Knaresborough centre, with the spa town of Harrogate only 15 minutes away. It would suit couples with baby who enjoy walking and the countryside, or conference delegates being an easy 10-15 minute drive from Harrogate International Conference Centre. The property provides a convenient base for touring the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, Herriot and Emmerdale Country.

Accommodation

The entrance leads from the patio garden and car parking area. Although compact the studio cottage has an open plan, lounge, sleeping and dining area with sofa, 4ft 6inch double bed, flat screen LCD tv, dvd and cd player. There is a travel cot available on request suitable for children under the age of 2 years (please being own cot bedding), high chair also available on request. Good selection of books, games and dvd's provided. Concealed kitchen with electric oven, grill and hob, fridge, microwave and cupboard space. Shower room with toilet, basin, shower and towel rail The patio area is ideal for summer evenings outside.
