Situated on the owner’s 200-acre farm in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this beautifully converted Yorkshire stone barn offers cosy accommodation with panoramic views. Set in a tranquil spot, this is an ideal base for families, cyclists, walkers, or visitors to the Harrogate Convention Centre (11 miles). There are opportunities to meet the farm animals and tours of the milking parlour can be arranged. A cot and highchair are provided. Two dogs are welcome, but need to be kept on a lead.

This lovely cottage is attached to the owner''s farmhouse. Five steps lead up to the single-level property, which offers a light and stylish open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and two comfortable bedrooms, a king size bed which can be split into singles on request and a 6’ super-king-size bed, which can also be split into two singles on request, and has an additional Z bed.  Both bedrooms having ensuite shower rooms.  There is  a charming garden with hot tub – you’re welcome to bring your own BBQ. Parking is available for two cars, and there’s also bike storage and horse stabling available.

 

There are fantastic walks to be enjoyed from the doorstep, and the Stainburn Forest bike trail is less than a mile away. You can enjoy the Nidderdale Way or the Six Dales Trail, or head to Brimham Rocks and explore the Yorkshire Dales (both 10 miles). The bustling town of Pateley Bridge (13 miles) offers some lovely pubs and restaurants, or you could head to the historic spa town of Harrogate (11 miles) with its wide selection of parks, attractions and eateries.

The cottage itself is in the most beautiful surroundings. Provided you accept its on a farm and comes with farm smells you get the most wonderful views and (allowing for the building work which wasnt all day) peace and quiet. Its simply stunning. The cottage had good fixtures and plenty of indoor and outdoor space and hot tub cleaned daily by ownerRead mores. They were on hand for any questions. We were a family of 4, 2 adults and an 11 and 3 year old and we really enjoyed our peaceful stay at Calf Cottage. Getting there was pretty simply and the cottage was nice and clean and the owner had left us cakes and eggs, which was a very nice touch. The cottage was tastefully decorated and we had ample space. Both bedrooms were nice and both had Read moreen-suites. We will defo be returning. Hide

Great location, lovely cottage, fab hot tub. We will definately come back...no better recommandation. It worked well with our dog as the garden is safe.

Wonderfully located property and if you want tranquility and genuine peace and quiet look no further. We visited in November and although unsurprisingly the weather was cold and wet, the constant changes in the scenery was truly wonderful to see.

Beautiful location, set back from the road but still convenient for days out. The views from the cottage are some of the best I have seen, hot tub spot takes full advantage of this. The cottage is attached to the main house and the garden runs the full length of the property, it is secure but if you are taking a dog bear in the mind the resident doRead moregs do visit so if your dog is reactive, this might not be ideal. Just perfect , the cottage is kept to a very high standard and has everything you need. The location is simply stunning and being able to sit in the spa with a drink looking out over the countryside was just amazing. Julia was so friendly and welcoming. Absolutely stunning location! Lovely little cottage which is well equipped and has everything required if you are wanting to cook. Lots of really nice and useful touches like providing robes and an ice bucket for drinks in the hot tub! My boys loved the resident dogs Tess and Smudge who came to visit. Good location being just 15 minutes from HarrogRead moreate and about 25 minutes from Knaresborough so lots of nice areas to explore in easy driving distance, as well as gorgeous walks on your doorstep. The accommodation was perfect. The location was gorgeous. What a lovely view to wake up to. Julie the owner was extremely helpful and pointed out some lovely places to visit. Our springer Spaniel loved playing in the enclosure and he absolutely loved swimming in some of yorkshires lovely reservoirs. We should've booked for 2 weeks instead of just 1Read more but now we know of it we will definitely be back. Thanks Julie for your hospitality and of course the cakes and other essentials. It's easy really - we've just had one of the best weeks of our lives. The cottage is top-notch. Well-equipped, very comfy settees, big comfortable beds, spacious bedrooms with superb en-suites - the Old Calf Shed ticks every box. As for the views - just enchanting. To gaze out from the cottage or the garden out across the rolling countryside of stuRead morenning Wharfedale rain or shine was pure bliss. Booked this place for 3 nughts and really enjoyed it, the view from the hottub was amazing. Good place for walks through the farm fields and surrounding woodlands. Amazing host nothing was to much trouble supplied milk,eggs and even some baked goods.

A warm and cosy retreat, great to travel out and visit the surrounding area. Our host Julie was friendly and gave us a warm welcome. The cottage had everything you could need to make your stay enjoyable. Getting in the jacuzzi overlooking the dale was a really lovely end to our busy days sightseeing.

Lovely cottage in the most beautiful location. We stayed with 2 small children and a dog - the owner provided everything we needed and was at the end of the phone to answer any questions we had! We particularly enjoyed the walk up to the woods behind the farm.

If you are looking for some peace and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle, this is perfect. Yes, you need a car to go anywhere, but the views and seclusion are worth it. Very quiet for a working farm. Cottage very well equipped, hot tub was lovely. The milk and cakes on arrival were appreciated. Stunning location, great for exploring the dales. Our host was very welcoming and helpful and we were really impressed with the farm having been given a tour if the milking barn. I wish all dairy farmers were like this. Hope to visit again.

The inside of the property itself was clean and tidy, with fresh towels and robes supplied for use of the hot tub, along with miniature shower gels, shampoos and body creams. We loved the extra touches; the dog biscuits to feed 'Tammy' and the home made cakes and fresh milk supplied

Fantastic cottage, the host Julie was great, yummy cakes when we arrived, milk in the fridge, we took our dogs, loads of fields for them to exercise, good walks from farm, hardly went anywhere, why would we, we will definitely be back
