THE OLD BARN
An ideal holiday cottage to reduce your carbon footprint! The stunning barn on a farm has been newly converted in an ecologically friendly way with ground source heat pump and solar panels. A tranquil spot situated in the hamlet of Newby, on the edge of Huby yet just a short drive from Harrogate or Leeds.
Unloading area outside the property with level entrance. Internal doors are all reclaimed timber and finished with the owner's own beeswax.
Kitchen/dining room - a large beamed room with dining for 6 persons. Downstairs cloakroom with toilet, basin and tumble drier. Lounge with log burning stove, TV, DVD with a selection of DVD’s, books & games for guest use. Attractive window seat and french windows opening south.
Upstairs to master bedroom with 5ft king sized bed and countryside views. Bedroom 2 is a beamed room with barn-door window and kingsize bed made from original barn joists (can be split into 2x 2ft6 children’s beds on request). Bedroom 3 has a child’s cabin bed crafted from reclaimed wood. Bathroom with shower over the bath, toilet and basin.
Outside bike store and garden furniture store. Perfectly situated in a rural position, yet only a pleasant ten minute walk to the Weeton & Huby train stop for Harrogate, Leeds and York.
Underfloor heating throughout from ground source heat pump. Water heated by solar panels. Cosy wood burning stove. Free WiFi and phone connection for incoming calls. Microwave, fridge freezer, washer, tumble drier in cloakroom, electric hob with electric oven and dishwasher. TV, DVD, iPod dock radio/CD. All fuel, linen and towels included in the rent. Parking for 2 cars. Babies welcome (cot and high chair available on request). Patio area with outside furniture and 4 acres of grassland for picnics and strolling by the beck. Extra single metal frame bed available on request - please note this can only placed in the king size bedroom (£25 linen charge). Please bring own barbeque if required. Welcome pack of beverages, owners’ fresh eggs and honey. Free range hens and ducks, sheep and beehives (which can be viewed). Pets accepted at a charge of £20 per pet (must to be kept on a lead near poultry and other animals).
