If you're spending an Eggtastic Easter in Harrogate this year we have made a list of hunts that will definitely put a Spring in your step!
Easter Eggsploits - Where? Fountains Abbey, Ripon Head to Fountains Abbey at 13:30 on Easter Monday for an egg rolling competition! Take your beautifully decorated hard boiled eggs (make sure they're not scrambled!) to the abbey green. How far will yours tumble? There's also a competition for the best decoration, judged by the fluffiest guest ever! *Event is free but normal admission applies for the abbey*
Easter Bonnets - Where? Royal Pump Room Museum, Harrogate In the run-up to Easter head over to the Royal Pump Room Museum to create your own headdresses, pompom headbands and hats of all shapes and sizes! *available free with your museum ticket*
Wizard of Oz Easter Adventure - Where? Mother Shipton's Cave, Knaresborough Head down to the River Nidd and meet Dorothy and her friends at Mother Shipton's Cave. You will need to use your brilliant brain, huge heart, and constant courage to complete a free adventure sheet! Will you help Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion in their quest to help Dorothy reach the emerald city?
Warmer longer days, and Easter marks the beginning of Spring and the short run till Summer. And Yorkshire has already begun to bloom with gorgeous spring bulbs!
