If you needed any more reasons to visit Harrogate - we've a summer of festivals to tempt you.

The Harrogate International Festival runs throughout the Summer months with a range of cultural treats - from Raworth's Literature Festival and Theakstons Old Peculiar Crime Writing Festival through to Berwins Salon North and a wide music offering from Van Morrison through to Mozart. The Northern Aldbrough Festival runs from 23rd June in a range of spectacular venues in and around the village with a range of musical offerings from opera and symphony through to Latin and Rock and Roll - appealing to a wide variety of tastes.

If musical opera is more your thing - you absolutely must not miss the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival now in its third year since relocating from Buxton to Harrogate - spanning 3 weeks from 3rd August in all Harrogate's major musical venues.

If you love the great outdoors then why not make a date for the Great Yorkshire Show - the UK's premier agricultural show which breaks new records every year!  Running for three days from 12th July and attracting upwards of 130,000 visitors - there really is something for everyone young and small!

Knaresborough even has its own cultural festival - FEVA (Festival of entertainment and visual arts) runs for 10 days from 12th August offering a programme of street theatre, open air concerts, live music and an arts trail against the backdrop of this delightful medieval market town.
