This delightful
cottage has been tastefully refurbished and whilst the owners
were renovating they found the most wonderful patch of poppies
growing! Although in a tranquil hamlet, it is close to Masham
with its large market square, beautiful church and famous Black
Sheep Brewery visitor centre and bistro. Within walking distance
of Jervaulx Abbey, one of the few privately owned ruins, and
the original home of Wensleydale cheese. Warren Gill shooting
ground is close by and can be booked from the cottage by the
owners. The cottage provides an excellent base for touring the
beautiful Yorkshire Dales, and has a network of footpaths adjacent
to it, being on the coast to coast walking route. Pony trekking
at nearby Swinton Park.
ACCOMMODATION:
This lovely refurbished double glazed cottage
is all on one level and suitable for all generations. Its wide
door frames make it equally suitable for disabled guests with
wheelchair access. The entrance leads to a cosy snug with tv
and sofa bed for an additional guest, selection of books and
walking literature available. Master bedroom with white iron
double bed. Kitchen with electric appliances and work surfaces
set at a slightly lower level suitable for wheelchair users
alike, overlooking open fields with free ranging hens. Conservatory
with dining area overlooking green fields. Spacious shower room
with large shower, shaver point, toilet and hand basin. Patio
area for summer evenings. Welcome pack.
